Male Street Style: Mercedes Benz Fashion Week February 2011

"New York City is the fashion capital of the world, and will become the heartbeat of the city" says Peter Levy, SVP Managing Director, IMG Fashion Worldwide. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is the city’s single largest media event, and hosts some of the biggest names in fashion and media as well as young and emerging talent models.

I had the esteemed pleasure to attend and work the Spring 2011 fashion event. I WAS IN HEAVEN! It was nice to be in a room full of equally passionate people who get it, and by IT I mean: FASHION! Within the doors of the Lincoln Center in which the event was held, you got a glimpse of people from all walks of life who all share in the beauty that is fashion. It was an amazing experience and I encourage anyone who enjoys fashion to go. Even if you don’t have an invite to a show, just being in the surrounding areas will inspire you. Due to the fact of me working each day I was limited on fully capturing all the great male looks I saw; however I was able to snap a few pictures of men street style. To give an overall view of what I saw, I would say the fashion forward men of MBFW paid attention to detail. From stacking various bracelets, rolling pants, selecting the perfect eye wear, accenting with pop colors, carrying tote bags and more, the street style level was beyond simplistic. Here are a few pictures I was able to capture.

Can you see yourself recreating any of these looks?
